Business Information

Business Name: Bantwana College NPC

Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/bantwanacollege/

Our vision is to reach as many young potential female footballers as we can and to provide them with an education other than academic, such as life skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial planning skills, to create a culture of equality, empowerment and hope for a brighter future for female athletes in South Africa, especially in football.
We want to become a Girls Football Academy Boarding School in the future, that provides academic, sport and arts and culture tuition to under privileged girls. It would be an Academy where their football ability, skills and potential could be identified, developed and grown to its full potential.
We run daily programs for football development and also do after school care for home work programs. We anticipate doing Entrepreneurial, Financial, Mathematical, Art & Culture Programs during the year in off season.
The Boarding School would include learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12 in preparation for their College or University segment of their career but also prepare them for a footballing career whilst at the School. (The Boarding School Program is a separate process and the plans for this en-devour could be supplied on request).
With the current football program we facilitate the transport, coaching and welfare of the participants on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays and play our league games on Friday nights.
The learnership programs will be run during the afternoons Monday to Fridays with meals and accommodation for the participants.

We have 3 phases to our long term plan. The end result will culminate in a 16 classroom boarding school football academy for girls. The piece of land in Lanseria, Farm Nietgedacht 535 JQ Portion 20, has been earmarked and “provisionally” allocated to Bantwana College NPC for this purpose, by Cross Point Property Developers and the Municipality of Gauteng.

How will you use the R100k prize in your business?

We will use 50% toward the monthly operational costs over the next year and the balance we would use to purchase the much needed fencing, floodlighting and freight containers to use for our project.
